Time out in a little piece of Tibet…

It’s been busy.  Really busy.  Now don’t get me wrong…I like busy…in fact, I actually thrive on it, especially if it’s creative busy.  And it has been!  But that’s possibly not the first admission I should be making when I introduce you to the little journey I took this weekend.  My plans changed at the last minute and with it, I realised that it was the perfect opportunity to take a little bit of time out and visit a place that’s been on my ‘to-do’ list for a while.  The journey there was, well, eventful (and wet!) and I am sure there is a lesson in that, but anyway!   So take me to the outskirts of Lockerbie, into the rolling hillsides of Dumfries and Galloway – to somewhere a little bit different.  Welcome to Sayme Ling Tibetan Centre, a sparkling jewel amidst this atmospheric and beautiful landscape and my home for a couple of days.

Sometimes you realise that words are not necessary…in fact they get in the way.   It was a very quiet time for me and I am sure you can see why.  Oh I realised that I wouldn’t be needing my to ‘to-do’ list here!  Rather that I would just ‘be’ here.   It was utterly wonderful!

Allow me to introduce you to this rather special place…

    • Thanks Jadie, it was incredibly peaceful, even with a lot of people around. I got lost in the beauty of it all and it was the perfect r&r I needed :)
